American Standard 5V Series Cast Iron Double-Groove QD Sheaves For 5V Belts

5V series double groove QD (quick release) bushing pulley applies to 5V, 5VX, 5V belts, and 5VX belts. They range in diameter from 4.40 "to 28.00". Depending on pulley size, they use SH, SDS, SK, SF, or E QD bushings, which we also have in stock. Most of our double groove 5V QD pulleys are high-strength 35-grade cast iron, coated with phosphate and anti-corrosion paint. All these are balanced at the factory to ensure the machine's smooth operation.

What factors should be considered when selecting V-pulley?
V-pulleys are usually made of cast iron (GG) and steel. These components can also be made of aluminum, stainless steel, or plastic if required for specific applications. If environmental conditions require surface treatment of the drive, additional surface treatment may be applied to the V-pulley. In addition, V-pulley can be manufactured according to customer specifications. Our turning workshop can process standard pulleys according to drawings or customer requirements.
V-belt drives can have multiple belts running in parallel. Therefore, the v-pulley has not only different diameters but also different grooves. On request, the pulley can provide dynamic balance with quality grade Q 6.3. Pulleys larger than 125 mm in diameter can be statically balanced. When the speed exceeds 30 m/s or the diameter/width ratio is less than four, and the speed exceeds 20 m/s, dynamic balancing is recommended.
