Agricultural Overload Cluteh Couplng is a safety device for tractor-drawn agricultural equipment that protects the drive train from overload. Overload coupling consists of a hub, sleeve, and spring-loaded driver cams. They protect the tractor-drawn implements from overload by preventing the drive from disengaging and towing the trailing implement.
Agricultural implements often work under very harsh conditions, and are usually driven by tractors with higher horsepower than is necessary. Overload clutches are important protection against these situations, and they have been around since power takeoff was introduced.
