American Standard Cast Iron Eight-Groove QD Sheaves For 5V Belts

5V series 8-groove QD (quick release) bushing pulley is applicable to 5V, 5VX, 5V belts and 5VX belts. They range in diameter from 4.40 "to 50.00". Depending on pulley size, they use SF, E, F, J or M QD bushings, which we also have in stock. Most of our 8-groove 5V QD pulleys are made of high-strength Grade 35 cast iron, coated with phosphate and anti-corrosion paint. All these are balanced at the factory to ensure smooth operation of the machine.

The high-quality 5V series v-belts we provide are manufactured according to ISO 9001 specifications. They are oil and heat-resistant and can be directly interchanged with other brands. QD sleeve | quick disconnect sleeve
QD bushings are used for various sprockets, pulleys, and synchronous drives in industrial power transmission and agricultural industries. They are designed for easy installation and unloading; They are also referred to as quick disconnect bushings. The QD sleeve facilitates standard installation outside the flange, reverse installation on the inside, and utilizes a single split that extends to the entire sleeve length. Our QD bushing can be interchanged with other brands and is made of high-grade steel by precision machining, which is suitable for perfect installation. The advantages of QD casing compared with different types of casing include: Easy to install/unload, firm grip, and high strength. We stock all standard-size QD bushings and provide custom QD bushings (including stainless steel bushings) upon request. QD casing is most widely used in the world;

The correct installation procedure of pulley and conical sleeve:
1. Remove the residual oil, paint, and pollutants on the shaft, the inner hole of the tapered sleeve, the outer surface of the tapered sleeve, and the surface of the tapered hole of the belt pulley, and remove the surface burrs. NOTE: The use of lubricants can cause the pulley to crack. Do not use any oil during installation.
2. Place the tapered sleeve in the tapered hole of the pulley and align each hole (each complete hole is only half of the thread).
3. Add a little oil to the thread of the mounting screw, and then screw it into the half-threaded hole of the pulley. NOTE: Do not lubricate the tapered sleeve, the tapered surface of the hub, the sleeve cavity, and the shaft. The use of lubricant may cause the pulley to break.
4. Install the key in the keyway of the shaft, install the tapered sleeve of the pulley on the column, and position it so that the pulley can move slightly axially when locked. Note: When installing the pulley on the vertical shaft, take precautions to prevent the pulley or cone from falling off during installation.
5. Tighten the mounting screws alternately until the tapered surface of the pulley and the tapered sleeve are entirely assembled. NOTE: Do not use a worn hex wrench as it may cause loose components or damaged mounting screws.
6. Check the runout (swing) of the centering pulley; Correct if necessary.
7. Continue to tighten the mounting screws alternately to the recommended tightening torque of the mounting screws shown in Table 1. After reaching the recommended tightening torque of the mounting screws, do not apply additional force.
8. To increase the clamping force of the taper sleeve, moderately knock the end face of the taper sleeve with a hammer through the sizing block or sleeve. Note: Do not directly hit the conical sleeve with a hammer.
9. Tighten the taper sleeve mounting screws again after tapping.
10. Recheck the torque after the first test run and regularly check it later. If loose, repeat steps 5-9.
