American Standard 5V Series Cast Iron Four-Groove QD Sheaves For 5V Belts

5V series four groove QD (quick release) bushing pulley applies to 5V, 5VX, 5V belts, and 5VX belts. They range in diameter from 4.40 "to 50.00". Depending on pulley size, they use SD, SK, SF, E, F, or J QD bushings, which we also have in stock. Our four-groove 5V QD pulley is mainly made of high-strength 35-grade cast iron, coated with phosphate and anti-corrosion paint. All these are balanced at the factory to ensure the smooth operation of the machine.

QD sleeve | quick disconnect sleeve

Precautions for pulley assembly:
1. Gasoline must be used for the last cleaning before assembly to ensure that all parts are clean and dry, the mating surfaces are closely matched, free of oil stains, and have sufficient friction.
2. Hexagon socket head bolts for assembly shall also be cleaned and dried with gasoline before assembly. Do not apply lubricating oil or grease on the bolt or screw hole to ensure that the bolt has sufficient friction and self-locking capacity after tightening.
3. When the three hexagon socket head bolts are about to be installed, they need to be tightened to ensure that the conical sleeve receives uniform axial force and that the pulley and conical sleeve are well placed on the same axis.
4. Before installation, check and measure the length of the hexagonal socket bolt for assembly to ensure that the assembly bolt can bear the bottom of the blind hole of the conical sleeve after being tightened, ensure that the conical surface is closely matched, and ensure that the bolt receives the reverse thrust from the bottom of the blind hole so that the anti loosening effect of the double nut principle is the same.
5. After the belt pulley is tightened, check and adjust the relative positions of the driving and driven belt pulleys by pulling wires to ensure that the two belt pulleys are on the same plane and the belt tension is moderate.
6. The pulley cover shall be intact and firmly installed to ensure that the belt is broken or the pulley is loose or pulled out during operation, resulting in significant safety accidents.
7. The conical sleeve is a wearing part. The inspection shall be carried out before each assembly, and spare parts shall be replaced in time in case of defects. The prolonged operation may damage the inner bore and the chain groove.
The common application of QD bushing pulley
The pulley is a hub-type part. Generally, the relative size is relatively large. The manufacturing process is usually based on casting and forging. Use less cast steel (poor performance of cast steel); Generally, smaller dimensions can be designed for development, and the material is steel).
